Just Us Girls #321 - Photo Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Photo Week.  Vicki is our hostess and she has chosen a fabulous photo for our inspiration.

With the completion of this challenge, we will be saying goodbye to our Guest Designer, Louise Hodge.  We enjoyed having her with us this past month.  Thanks so much, Louise!

I love this photo!  Everything about it inspired me, and my card is very literal. I sprayed the background with some Shimmer Spray and it is very shimmery in real time.  I sponged Distress inks in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry to create the background and then added the circles using GKD white pigment ink.

Just Us Girls #310 - Trend Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Trend Week.  Cheryl is our hostess and she has chosen the trend of Balloons as our inspiration.

Here's my card

I started by making a Bokeh Effect background with aqua and turquoise ink.  I bought balloon dies from Paper Smooches some time ago, so pulled them out and made some colorful balloons.  The balloon strings are a stamp set from Simon Says Stamps.....just love them!  I added some sequins and some stars.

Just Us Girls #273 - Photo Week

This week at Just Us Girls it's Photo Week.  Nancy is our hostess and she has chosen a fun photo for our inspiration.  Here's how I was inspired.

When I saw this picture with all of the fabulous circles, all I could think about doing was the Bokeh Effect technique.  I love how the white circles soften the base colors.  To create the background I used Hero Arts Soft Granite & Fresh Peach. The white circles were made by using Brilliance Moonlight White.  The thanks script is from Mama Elephant.  I cut four of them and glued them together to add some interest.  The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh and Verve.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!
