Just Us Girls #206 Technique Challenge
This weeks Just Us Girls challenge is to use a grid technique. I have chosen to use the grid in the middle of a large die. I think it gives my card a real country feel. The die with the grid pattern reminds me of a country quilt. The die I used is Spellbinders A2 Floral Ribbon Threader. It is actually two dies put together. I cut them onto white cardstock. I removed the dies and created the grid pattern with my Scor-Buddy. I put the inner die back onto the cardstock and sponged with GKD Sweet Corn ink. I wove a thin yellow ribbon along the sides of the die cut. I attached this panel onto a piece of patterned paper from The Paper Studio, and then attached it to a GKD Cherry Red card base. I chose the Red Clover stamp as my focal image. I stamped it onto white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut the flower and attached it with 1/4" pop dots. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock and cut with a Spellbinders Classic Oval die. I sponged it with Sweet Corn ink and attached it with 1/4" pop dots. I added a little yellow bow.
