Birthday Wishes for Becki

I have a dear friend, Becki, who is having a birthday.  I made this card for her.

I bought the PTI Anniversary set last year and never used it.  I don't know why because the flowers are gorgeous.  The set is called Painted Petals.  I pulled it out and played yesterday.  I'm loving the way it came out, especially when I paired it with their Polka Dot Parade patterned paper.

Winter Birdhouse

Papertrey posted a template for this adorable birdhouse and I had to give it a try.  It is such a sweet design.  For a copy just click on the word template above.

I decorated mine in a winter theme using PTI Winter Woods and Peaceful Pinecones.  The roof was embossed with a Cuttlebug woodgrain embossing folder.

Sharing in Your Sorrow

I find myself in need of a sympathy card this week.  A long time neighbor lost his wife.  This is what I came up with.

I love the way this came out.  Everything is from My Favorite Things.  The Blueprint 31 set is a brand new one, and I can see I will be using it a lot.  The flowers are from a set called Beautiful Blooms and the sentiment is from the set Deepest Sympathy.  The patterned paper is from Graphic Grid.

Flower Favorites

I have been looking at this stamp set for months.  Several of my card making friends have been posting gorgeous cards using it. So, as it always happens, I finally had to break down and buy it.

The stamp set is from PTI and is called Flower Favorites.  I love all of these flowers! These cards came together quickly and that made me very happy.  I'm sure I will be using it a lot for quick note cards.

Beautiful Butterflies

I was finally able to get back in my craft room today.  It sure is hard to find time to craft anymore. Here's a card I made using the new MFT Beautiful Butterflies kit.

I ordered some beautiful reinkers from Gina K. Designs and decided to make a background using marbles.  Usually I have to raid my husband's gumball machine for this technique, but I recently purchased some marbles, so I don't have to do that anymore.  lol  The case the GKD kits come in is perfect for this technique.  I placed a piece of white card stock with repositional tape in the bottom and dotted some drops of reinker around the paper.  I used Innocent Pink and Tomato Soup.  Closed the lid and gave it a shake.  The marbles roll through the ink and all over the paper leaving a wonderful design.  This is what I came up with.

The butterflies were stamped with Innocent Pink, Tomato Soup and embossed with black embossing powder.  I added some Wink of Stella to their wings.

More Valentines

I was finally able to finish my Valentines today.  I thought I had the grand kids all done and realized that I hadn't put sentiments on the inside.  It's amazing how long it takes to find the right one and get it stamped, or I'm just slow.  lol  Anyway, the first one here is for my husband. The second one I actually made two of for my daughter, son and their spouses.

I knew I wanted to use the Enclosed Heart die for this one, and I used a technique I saw at PTI by masking and adding a flowered wreath around the heart.  I love the way it came out.

The Recipe:
PTI Enclosed Heart, Embellished Elegance, Super Gingham
RC Arrow

For this one I used the PTI Heart Cover Plate.  I cut it out using Kraft card stock and then used the same die to cut out six different pieces of patterned paper.  The ones I used here were a gift from my friend, Nancy.  I added the hearts to the Kraft card stock for an in-lay effect.

The Recipe:
PTI Hearts Cover Plate
PTI Enclosed Heart Sentiment
We R Memory Keepers twine
GKD Passionate Pink button
