Welcome to this week's Just Us Girls Challenge
Sue V. has chosen a very interesting technique challenge for us this week - Ink Bordered Die Cuts. I am attaching a link for a video that you will need to watch before trying this. She is offering an alternative if you have trouble with this technique, leave your die on the paper and sponge around the edge to create a white or light border.
See the gold edges on my circle dies? Isn't that a great look! You will need to use Pigment ink for this technique. Believe me, I know. I tried it using my dye inks, and it doesn't work because they are not wet enough. I used Delicata Golden Glitz Pigment ink, and decided to go with a patriotic themed card.

I hope you will give this technique a try. I will warn you that it's a little on the messy side, but the end result is striking! Stop by the Just Us Girls page to see what the rest of the team and our GD, Melissa Hubert, have come up with using this technique.
Just a reminder: if you win Chic of the Week in any of our February challenges, you are in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of April.
