My friend, Donna, made a gorgeous card in a box the other day, and I was so inspired, I had to give it a try. The box was very easy to make, but decorating the inside proved to be a bit of a challenge. I struggled with getting everything attached. It looks a bit flat to me, but I love the colors. The patterned paper is one of my very favorites from Gina K. Designs called Spring Parade. I used 3 GKD stamp sets called Dreams Take Flight, Blossom and Summer Blooms, along with a Marvy flower punch.
The written directions and a video can be found at this link. Here's another look.

Well I think this is absolutely gorgeous! Great colors and stamps, it is a charming overflowing box of Spring & Sunshine....I LOVE IT! The little picket and wrought iron fences are such wonderful accents (wish I had thought of that!) I got a bit more dimension by adding some 3D dots behind a few of my flowers, gave it a bit more depth. I think these are just fabulous and you can make them for EVERY occasion. Well done my friend, VERY well done!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks amazing!!! I agree with Donna...love the wrought iron and picket fence! Well done...not sure I am ready for such a challenge...I think I will continue to be in awe in the distance! Well done Girl!!
ReplyDeleteSharyn, this is gorgeous! Love the colors and all the goodies you were able to get in there. It doesn't look flat to me at all, as I said before GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteSaw Donna's and loved it. Your is is gorgeous too :) Fabulously done!
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired my to try another one of these. Mine is sitting on the shelf and it not a full as yours. Maybe that's why it is sitting there. I love the addition of the fences and all of the flowers. Great job.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute Sharyn! I love your paper choices, and you did an awesome job placing those elements in the box. I just made one for my grandsons for Easter, and I agree completely. It's really hard to place everything just right inside the box. I like yours better than mine!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, Sharyn! I've made a few of them now, and yes, it is challenging getting the bits inside. But my dear friend, you've nailed it!
