Just Us Girls #265 - Word Week

This week at Just Us Girls it's Word Week and Lisa has chosen Wreaths as our challenge word.  I would, also, like to welcome our Guest Designer, Tajanna, for the month of November.  Welcome, Tajanna!

Here's my card

I decided on a beautiful stamp set from Avery Elle called Winter Wreath, but I wanted it fuller than the stamped image.  I stamped it in Fresh Asparagus and Prickly Pear ink two times each rotating the stamp a little each time.  I love the result.  Then I decorated the wreath with holly berries, leaves and pine cones.  The cute little cardinal is from the Avery Elle set Let It Snow.  I cut the wreath out with Spellbinders Standard Circle dies.  The background is patterned paper from The Paper Studio.  I used Distress Inks and sponged to darken the color a little.  I stamped the greeting and embossed with gold embossing powder on Vellum.  The final touch was a red and white gingham bow.

The Recipe:

Avery Elle Winter Wreath & Let It Snow
The Paper Studio patterned paper
Distress Ink Vintage Photo & Tea Dye
Gina K. Designs Fresh Asparagus, Prickly Pear, Warm Cocoa, Red Hot & Christmas Pine
Offray Red & White Gingham Ribbon
Gina K. Designs Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Tajanna, have made this week.  I hope you will play along.  We would love to see how you are inspired by our challenge word - Wreaths!

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our November challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of January.  Good luck!
