What a great picture......so many possibilities! I drew my inspiration from the tree and the wreath, but instead of making a lighted tree, I made a lighted wreath. I participated in the Online Christmas Card Workshop recently and Dawn Woleslagle made a beautiful lighted wreath. I was so taken by her gorgeous card that I had to order the wreath stamp set. Let me tell you about the stamp set. It is by W Plus 9 and is called Woodland Wreaths. It is the prettiest set I have ever seen and so much fun to play with. This set is a four stamp process. For my card I only used the first two stamps. After stamping the main body of the stamp on watercolor paper. I used a brush and water to soften the colors. After that dried I stamped the second step (the brown twigs). I then removed some of the color with a brush and water where I wanted the lights to be. After that dried, to make the lights I used a white gel pen to color in the lights and blended the gel ink into a soft glow using my finger. After allowing that to dry, I drew a small circle with the white gel pen in the center of each light and added a touch of Wink of Stella for some sparkle. I used Memento markers in Bamboo Leaves and Rich Cocoa to add some flicks of color around the lights to make them appear to be inside the wreath and not just sitting on top of it. Thanks so much for stopping by to look!
