Just Us Girls #308 Wild Card Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Wild Card Week.  Nancy is our hostess and she has chosen a sketch as her wild card.

We will be saying goodbye to our Guest Designer, Karen Bourke, at the end of this challenge.  I would like to thank her for sharing her wonderful talent with us.  We have enjoyed seeing her beautiful cards.

Here's my card

This was a quick and easy sketch to work with.  I made a card celebrating my last hoo-rah for summer.  I chose a set from Reverse Confetti featuring some fun pineapples.  Imagine the yummy tropical goodies that we could make!

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Karen, have made this week.  I hope you will be inspired and play along.

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our August challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of October.  Good luck!

The Recipe:
Reverse Confetti Pineapples A Plenty
Spellbinders Classic Rectangles
GKD Pure Luxury White, Jelly Bean Green CS
GKD Jelly Bean Green & Honey Mustard ink
Vellum
Twine

  7. I'm hungry after seeing this yummy card. So inviting. We have a pineapple farm just north of us and have the sweetest pineapples. Won't be long till we stop in to buy a few. We were told that you don't buy them if they don't have R in the month but the reverse would be for you. Sorry for the rambling.

  8. Wonderful design. Love the hominess of the pretty pineapples (a welcome symbol for certain). and absolutely love the idea of the transparent vellum over the design, letting the design shine forth. A good idea to do the sentiment as you've done with the popped up square motif. TFS & Hope your wkend has been good.
