At the completion of this challenge, we will be saying goodbye to our Surprise Party Guest, Patti. We have enjoyed having her playing along with us for the months of April and May, and sharing her beautiful cards with everyone.
I started my card by mixing some pink re-inker with a little Dap Fast 'N Final Lightweight Spackling and applied it to a Gingham Stencil by Simon Says Stamps. The stamp set I used is from PTI and is called Nostalgic Notions and Embroidered Borders. The flowers were stamped in shades of pink and orange and popped up with pop dots. The greeting was stamped in Versa Mark and embossed in black on a strip of Vellum.
Please visit the Seize the Birthday blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our Surprise Party Guest, Patti, have made this time. I hope you will be inspired and play along with us.
The Recipe:
SSS Gingham Stencil
PTI Nostalgic Notions, Embroidered Borders
GKD Innocent Pink, Passionate Pink, Dusty Rose, Sweet Corn, Jelly Bean Green, Grass Green
Hero Arts Orange Soda ink
Dap Fast 'N Final Lightweight Spackling

ReplyDeleteI love your card! Your spackled background is so nifty! I have never tried that technique. I love how it turned out.

This is a garden on a card and makes me want flowers. It is so pretty Sharyn. I love the pink paste background, it shows off the flowers so well. Great card.

ReplyDeleteFABULOUS Spackled background! Of course you are the background godess so why am I surprised! Sensational card!
ReplyDeleteI love this so much!!! Every time you use that stencil I'm blown away, it's so YOU!!! Beautiful soft pink, and your flowers are spot-on! I love using that dark pink and orange together, always a winner. Great use of that vellum for the greeting too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful texture and dimension!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! this is SO pretty. Your spackled background is fantastic and I love how you added a couple more bold colors on the beautiful soft pink. The sentiment on the angled piece of vellum is the perfect final touch.
ReplyDeleteEveryone of your cards is amazing, but I think that this one is my favorite. So much dimension and so pretty! The vellum band across the front with the flowers peeking from behind.... gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove how you popped up these flowers! And the sentiment looks so beautiful on vellum!
