With the completion of this challenge, we will be saying goodbye to our August Guest Designer, Colleen Foelker. Thank you, Colleen! Your cards are gorgeous and we are so happy that you played along with us this past month.
Here's my card
I used Brusho Crystal Colors for my background. I have to tell you that I need lots of practice using these. I had color everywhere and all of my fingers were dyed. I was quite a sight to see! The butterflies and the sentiment are from a GKD set called Dogwood and Butterfly. The stitched circle frame is from MFT.
Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Colleen, have made this week. I hope you will play along with us.
If you win Chic of the Week in any of our August challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of October. Good luck!
The Recipe:
Brusho Crystal Colors
GKD Dogwood & Butterfly
MFT Stitche Circle Frame
Sequins from my stash
Wink of Stella
Shimmer Spray
Wildly lovely background that is anchored with the circle and the beautiful butterflies.

You nailed this photo! So impressed my friend!!! There is nothing you can't do!
ReplyDeleteSharyn, it has been a joy to play with you this month, thank you for the kind and sweet welcome! This photo offered so many directions, and we both chose those gorgeous butterflies to play with! Your card is stunning my friend, but then I am always in awe of your cards!! I especially am envious of how you often layer your pattern papers on your cards...that is not my strength, but I can aspire to be like you! Thank you for having me this month!!
ReplyDeleteThe card background looks amazing And I'm impressed by how well you followed the color inspiration from the photo. Two thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteI think this came out great. I love the design of your card and bright colors. I always have ink on my fingers when I use those too. Of course, I have ink on my hands when I sponge or watercolor too. Maybe I am too messy and need gloves!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT BACKGROUND!!!! It looks amazing and you've really captured the photo on your beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteI've thought of getting Brushos, Sharyn, but I'll consider myself warned. They do make a lovely background though.
ReplyDeleteThat background is beautiful and so worth the mess! I love your design with that stitched circle frame and lovely butterflies.
