I would like to welcome, Jaydee, as our Guest Designer for the month of October. Please visit her blog and leave some love.
My favorite thing about living in the Midwest is the changing of the seasons. Fall is such a special and beautiful time. The air takes on a crisp quality and the leaves turn into gorgeous color. It really is a sight to see.
I started by applying watercolors to my background and then adding some splatters. The leaves are from MFT and are called Layered Leaves. I used various Fall colors in card stock for them. I, also, added some fun sequins.
This will be my last post as a member of the design team. Life is getting in the way and I need to step back and focus my attentions in other areas. I still plan on puttering around in my craft room as often as I can. Many thanks to all of the wonderful ladies on this team. I will miss all of you!

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Jaydee, have made this week. I hope you will playing along with us.
If you win Chic of the Week in any of our October challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of December. Good luck!

Your card is amazing, Sharyn! Love that water colored background and those leaves look like they are fluttering across the card front. I am so sad that you are leaving us, but I understand the reason. Life does indeed throw curve balls, but family always comes first. We will miss you, but know that we are always here for you! ((HUGS!))
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! You will sure be missed!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Sharyn. Love the watercolor splattered background for the "fluttering" leaves. I am going to miss seeing your beautiful creations.
ReplyDeleteYour card is just amazing, Sharyn. So well put together, and I love your background. And then the die cut leaves with color behind. Just a great look. I'm so sorry to see you leave us, it's been such a pleasure to "team" with you. I have a feeling this won't be the last time we spend time together, however. And PLEASE don't stop making cards....I love your creations!! Hugs, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteLove your theme this week Sharyn and what a beautiful card you have made. Lovely sponging sequins and little splatters. Your sentiment is perfect and I personally would like to THANK YOU for your friendship and encouragement and look forward to see your amazing talents here again soon. You will be missed so much. HUGS
ReplyDeleteI love the splash of color that you started with as a base to put the colorful fall leaves on. I will be missing you as all of the others have already said. I know that you will be there for your family and for the friends that you have made while doing the craft that you love. You have made some fabulous cards and as I always said, "I want to be like you and make beautiful things." Best wishes my friend.
ReplyDeleteI love the 'falling' leaves, Sharyn, and the pile of watercolor they're falling into. Beautiful card. It's sad to see you go. Take care of yourself and don't be a stranger.
ReplyDeleteLife has a way of getting in the way of what we want to do so I hope things are good with you. I have enjoyed seeing your beautiful cards and hope you will continue to post. I will talk to you soon. This is a gorgeous colorful fall card.
ReplyDeleteSharyn, I love this card - it positively glows. The colors on the base are the perfect way to ground that wonderful collection of leaves. Great challenge and fabulous card. I agree about living in the midwest, we are lucky to have 4 distinct seasons. Although, I am not ready for winter yet! Thank you for such a warm welcome and for all your beautiful creations as part of the design tam.
