Sharing in Your Sorrow

I find myself in need of a sympathy card this week.  A long time neighbor lost his wife.  This is what I came up with.

I love the way this came out.  Everything is from My Favorite Things.  The Blueprint 31 set is a brand new one, and I can see I will be using it a lot.  The flowers are from a set called Beautiful Blooms and the sentiment is from the set Deepest Sympathy.  The patterned paper is from Graphic Grid.

The Recipe:
Dies MFT Blueprints 31
Stamps MFT Beautiful Blooms, Deepest Sympathy
Patterned MFT Graphic Grid

Thanks so much for coming by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

  1. Love your card.  How did you get the stamps and dies lined up so perfectly, especially the leafy stems?  Die cut first then arrange the stamp to fit? My stamps don't always get arranged the same way as the dies. Thanks for your help. I'm afraid I'm going to have to order this Blueprint set.

    1. Thanks so much. The dies with this set are open ones so I stamped first and then cut. It's very easy to line up that way.

    2. Thanks for your answer. It matched up lots better than I thought. On the leafy stems, I was worried that I would stretch them a crazy angle or something and they'd never match, but it wasn't that hard. Thanks again.

  3. Everything on this card, from the border to the perfectly stamped and die cut flowers and leaves are perfect. I love this, but I am sorry that you had the need to make it a sympathy. You do a fabulous job with MFT dies and stamps. Good to see your creations again. I'm not getting your email notices as I once used to. Good thing I saw this on FB. Wonder if I should register again?

  4. I hate having to make sympathy cards because of the reason they are needed. I have three friends right now fighting a brave battle and I am worried for them. This is a lovely card and a wonderful stamp and die set. The blueprint die is so unique and the flower bouquet is so pretty. I'm sure your neighbor will appreciate the card and you thinking of him. The sentiment will mean a lot to him too.

  6. So, so pretty, my dear. I have my eye on that Blueprint set too. I really like the elements and I think I would use it a lot too. I love how you have placed the flowers, and that background paper is so sweet. So sorry about your neighbor's wife. Sympathy cards are hard!
