Birthday Wishes

Today I played with the new
Gina K. Designs Forever Flowers kit.
The set I used is called Lace Flowers.

I colored the flowers and leaves with
Faber Castile Polychromos colored pencils.

The background was made using a gel press and
Distress Oxide inks in Spun Sugar, Kitsch
Flamingo and Spiced Marmalade.
I also used a Medium Dot Stencil from
Simon Says Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Your kind comments are always appreciated.

  1. Beautiful card, Sharyn. The flowers are so pretty and I love the delicately stencilled background. xx

  2. Your Lace flowers are lovely and that is a wonderful name for a stamp set. I love the gel press background. I just got a small gel press to try and see if I like it. After seeing yours, I'm glad I did.

  3. So you got the gell plate too! That makes Donna, Judy and you. But I am not going to jump on the cart. Not yet. But you guys are making it hard not to with examples of beautiful cards like this.

  4. BEAUTIFUL!! That soft background is so perfect for those lovely lace flowers. The lace flowers make me think of butterflies.

  5. You rocked that gel press, isn't it fun to play? LOVE what you have done with that stamp set, really pretty colors and great design. FABULOUS card!!!

  6. hmmmm maybe I do need that stamp set lol Your background is fabulous! Love the soft colors and the added stenciled dots. I have a Gel Press (now) too lol Seems like it is all the rage (again) Beautiful card, Sharyn, it's quite a fabulous design!
