Just Us Girls #241 - Color

This week Lisa is our hostess at Just Us Girls with a color challenge.  The colors are Kraft, Orchid & White.

Here's my card

These colors were a bit of a challenge for me.  I used two flower stamps from the Gina K. Designs set Spring Blessings & two leaf stamps from the GKD Blossom set along with Memento Lilac Posies ink and Gina K. Designs Kraft ink to make the background.  The lattice motif die is from Spellbinders and I cut it using a limited edition color from Gina K. Designs called Wild Orchid.  What a lovely, vibrant color!  The beautiful bird image is from the GKD Spring Blessings set.  He blends into the vine and leaves he is perched on.  I added a fourth color (charcoal brown) as a neutral.  Thanks for coming by to look!

Please visit the Just Us Girls page to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Barbara, have come up with this week.  I hope you will be inspired and want to play along.  We would love to see your beautiful creations!

Just a reminder:  If you are a winner in any of our May challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the July challenges.

  5. You made your own amazing BG and the bird as the focal image is great. He blends into the branch that he sits on, jut like they usually do. These colors were are for me to do too, and to get them to photograph correctly as well. Good job!
