Make It Monday #176 - Backgrounds with Embossing Paste

The card that Laura made over at Make It Monday this week was so pretty that I just had to try this technique.  Here's my card:

I love, love, love this color combo.  I used Dap Fast'N Final Lightweight Spackling instead of embossing paste.  It mixed very well with reinkers to create these beautiful colors.  The gingham stencil I used is from Simon Says Stamps.  The Rosie Posie & Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp sets are my new favorite flower stamps from Papertrey Ink.  I love the look of the two-step stamping.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!

  3. I see that you got the stencil. Then you went one step further and used paste that was softly colored. Genius! Such an beautiful card. Your heart and hands were both in this. It shows!
