Just Us Girls #269 - Wild Card

This week at Just Us Girls it's Wild Card Week.  Vicki is our hostess and she has chosen "Anything Goes."  So let your imagination run wild!

Here's my card

A few weeks ago I bought a stamp set from PTI called Harvest Berries and created this card.  I really love it, the colors, textures and design.  So, I was thrilled when this challenge came up and I had a place to display it.  lol  The background is a stencil from Simon Says Stamps called Gingham.  I used Dap Lightweight Spackle and a little GKD Grass Green ink.  I am having so much fun with stencils. They make amazing backgrounds!  I used GKD Fine Detail Gold embossing powder for the sentiment and the layering piece under the gingham. This embossing powder is amazing!  It leaves a very smooth surface and the color is soft and warm.  I, also, colored some Recollections white pearls with a gold Pitt Pen for some interest on the leaves.  Thanks for coming by to look!

The Recipe:

PTI Harvest Berries, Season's Greetings
Simon Says Stamps Gingham stencil
Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Oval & Fancy Tags Three
GKD Grass Green ink
GKD Gold Cord
Dap Lightweight Spackle
Recollections white pearls
Pitt Pen Gold

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Tajanna, have created this week.  I would love to see how you are inspired!

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our November challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of January.  Good luck!
