Seize the Birthday - No Topping

My husband let me go crazy over at the My Favorite Things release a couple of weeks ago for my birthday.  I was able to get some really cute things.  About the time my package arrived, my Mom had taken ill and had to spend some time in the hospital and then a nursing facility for rehab.  My days have been spent running back and forth doing errands, so no time to play in my craft room.  She is doing a little better now, although she is still in the nursing facility for a few more weeks.  I was finally able to find some time to myself to play with my new goodies and here is what I made.

The Seize the Birthday challenge this time has No Topping.  As usual it is "Anything Goes" as long as it is for a birthday.

Here's my card

I am crazy about this set!  I am always looking for something different and when I saw this, I had to have it.  My grandson, Lincoln, will be celebrating his birthday in June, so this is for him.  The doors on the barn door will open, if you want to leave a message behind them.  For this card, I chose to keep the doors closed.  The animals and the sentiments are so cute.

I have another, sweet grandson, who lives about 1000 miles away from us.  I have been thinking about him a lot, so I made this card to send his way.

Please visit the Seize the Birthday blog to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team have made this time.  I hope you will be inspired and come play along.

The Recipe:
MFT The Whole Herd stamps
MFT Barn & Rolling Hills dies
GKD Pure Luxury White, Red Hot, Grass Green, Sweet Corn & Black Onyx CS
GKD Winter Whimsy patterned paper (inside)

  5. I can so empathize with you about your mom, and your life not being your own right now. I am experiencing the exact same thing!!! This card just makes me smile, and I, too, was charmed by that stamp set when I saw it over at MFT. Your coloring is awesome. And your grandson will LOVE it!
