Just Us Girls #334 - Trend Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Trend Week.  Vicki is our hostess and she has chosen the trend of Shaker Cards as our inspiration.

We have two new Jugheads joining the team this week.  I would like to welcome Judy Woodland and Bobby Hagen.  They have both been playing along with us for some time, and I'm sure you will recognize their amazing styles.  Please try to visit their blogs and leave some love.

I got my inspiration from a beautiful card Betsy Veldman made a while ago.  The colors are so striking.  The birthday sentiment was cut with both the light blue and dark blue card stock.  I offset them just a bit so you could see a shadow of the dark blue.  I made my own sequins in the colors I needed for the shaker.  I used transparency sheets that I bought at the office supply store for my shaker.  They are a bit thinner than acetate and really work well.

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Stephanie, have made this week.  Can't wait to see how you were inspired!

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our March challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of May.  Good luck!

  1. Fantastic! Love the color combo and the layered Birthday. Very cool creating your own shaker bits. You and I both had sports themes on our minds this week.
