Just a Note

I had some time to play today and decided to pull out some of my Gina K. Designs stamps.  I've been wanting to make some note cards, so I thought I would start making them using the Stately Flowers series by Melanie Muenchinger.

The flower I chose is the Indian Paintbrush.  It is the Wyoming state flower.  I have never seen one before, so I did a google search and found a picture of one.  I started with two shades of green and worked on the stem and the base of the petals.  Next came a layer of cream and then the orange on the tips of the petals.  I would love to see a field of these beautiful flowers.....how amazing that would be!

Thanks so much for stopping by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

The Recipe:
GKD Stately Flowers 11
MFT Tiny Check Brights patterned paper
Cuttlebug Kitchen Weave EF
Lil' Inkers Scalloped Border
Prismacolor Pencils.

  4. Oh wow, this is a beautiful flower with lovely coloring. What a great flower for a state flower. Love the look of a postage stamp and the greeting.
