Sending Prayers

A very dear friend called me yesterday
to say her father had died.
I feel so bad for her and the family.
She said they were having a private family funeral
because they were only allowed ten people
including the priest to be there.

I have been playing around with the
Botanicuts Lily & Palm set
from The Greetery
and knew this is what I wanted to use.

It has been a struggle to even get in my
craft room since all of the
crazy virus stuff started.
It was nice to put the worry aside for awhile.

These flowers are gorgeous
and so much fun to make.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Your kind comments are always appreciated.

I hope everyone is safe and well
and I hope this all ends soon.

  1. How sad that you can't go to the funeral for her father. The world is topsy turvy right now and we need to stay in. I need to spend more time making my Easter cards but can't seem to get there just yet either. This card is awesome, Sharyn. The flowers are beautiful and the soft sponging of color behind them is lovely. She will appreciate this card.

  2. So lovely, and so sad for your friend. It's got to be hard to have a funeral during this difficult time. Your card is going to be a source of comfort to her, I'm sure. It's just beautiful, you have used those dies perfectly. It's hard to be creative right now, but it's also very therapeutic and healing. Hang in there, my friend.

  5. Your card is so gorgeous and I am sure it will be a comfort to your friend. Funerals here are being recorded and then you watch them on the funeral home website. As well, only a few are allowed at the service.
