Gift card and money boxes

My granddaughter wants cash for Christmas this year, so she can go on a shopping trip.  That's fine with me and will make my life so much easier.  lol  I wanted a cute box to put the money in and this is what I came up with.

I used the All Around the House kit for the boxes.  These are fun to make and you can decorate them a million different ways.  The one on the right uses stamps and dies from the All Around the House kit.  The one on the left uses stamps and dies from the City Scene set.  My granddaughter has her room decorated in a Paris theme, so I thought she would love this box.

Merry Monday #125 - Transportation

This time at Merry Monday the challenge is to make a Christmas card using transportation.  I have missed playing at this challenge site.  Life has really been messing with me lately!  I am hopeful that things will be settling down, so I can play on a regular basis again.  Anyway, here's my card.

When I saw "transportation", I knew I had to use one of my favorite sets from PTI.  The City Scene and the City Scene Christmas Sentiments sets are so much fun to play with.  I have two modes of transportation on this card, the taxi cab and Santa's sleigh.  I tried something different this time and made two rows of buildings.  It adds extra interest to the scene.  I, also, added some Liquid Applique to the tops of the buildings and trees.  Thanks so much for stopping by to look!
