Power Poppy - Peep of the Week Challenge

When I woke up this morning it was 6 degrees outside.  Can't remember it being this cold, for a long time.  On top of that I have been sick going on 3 weeks now.  What started out as a sinus infection has morphed into some kind of upper respiratory mess.  How wonderful it is to shut myself up in my craft room and create something that makes me smile.

I made this card for the Peep of the Week Challenge over at Power Poppy.  I wanted something that would make me completely forget about our frigid weather, so I pulled out this beautiful stamp from Power Poppy called Countryside Bouquet.  I colored it with Copic markers in shades of peach and lt. blue.  The gingham background is a stencil from Simon Says Stamps called Gingham Stencil.  I used Dap Lightweight Spackle that had been tinted with Innocent Pink and Sweet Mango ink.  I added a soft blue patterned paper, a paper doily that I split in half, and a little bow that I tinted with a blush copic marker.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!  I hope I have brought a little bit of Spring into your life today.  lol

Power Poppy - Peep of the Week

This card is for the Power Poppy Peep of the Week Challenge.  I finally have a day all to myself, and wanted to get some of my new Power Poppy stamps inky.  I even got adventurous and dug my sewing machine out.  lol  Don't you just love this sweet gingerbread house!

Here's my card

This set is a lot of fun to color.  I used Copic markers and then put Wink of Stella over the snowy areas to give it some sparkle.  I mixed and matched some fun patterned papers and stitched with my sewing machine.  The sentiment was stamped on Vellum and embossed with black embossing powder. I, also, added some enamel dots.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!
