Summer Birthdays

For the last few days I have been making some fun images

 from the newest The Greetery release.

Today I was able to turn them into two cards.

The Just Mason Around set is a three step process

to make these lovely jars.

I used inks in shades of pink and aqua.

The Oopsie Daisy set has fun flowers that I turned into bright daisies.

The Robin and Wren set has a small and a large version of a Robin and a Wren.

I made my Wren pink and my Robin yellow.

The Lemon Blossom set has two sizes of lemons. 

I made one a lime, a cute lemon slice

and some beautiful blossoms.

I watched a video by Arjito Sepaha Singh on no line coloring using colored pencils. Click on her name for a link to her blog.  She is AMAZING!  She makes everything look so easy.  I worked for over an hour trying to do this technique and guess what?  I can't do it.  I've come to the conclusion that I should only buy stamps that are one or two step stamping.

I pulled out the Layered Daisies stamp set from Gina K. Designs, (It's a two step process) and some of the new colors from the most recent release.  I used Barely There for the card base.  The big daisy was stamped first with Barely There and then by Peach Bellini.  The center is Chocolate Truffle.  The second daisy was stamped with Peach Bellini and then Tomato Soup.  The third daisy was stamped second generation stamping with Peach Bellini and then Tomato Soup.  I, also, did some second generation stamping using Fresh Asparagus and the leaves.

Sending You Lots of Love

I found out this morning that a very sweet lady I know lost her mother, so I'm taking advantage of a little free time to make a card for her.

The stamp set I chose is the Layered Daisies set from the new GKD Stamp TV kit, Sunshine & Love.  I am really loving these gorgeous daisies.  I started with Ocean Mist card stock and stamped the first layer of the flower in Ocean Mist.  The second layer was done in Tranquil Teal and the centers in Passionate Pink.  I love the tone on tone with the little pop of color in the flower centers and the leaves.  I used a two inch strip of Vellum to anchor my focal image.  The focal image was created using two GKD Double Stitched Circle dies one in white and one in Tranquil Teal.  The sentiment is from the GKD Nurturing Blooms set.  I, also, used a circle stamp from the Wreath Builder Bundle set.
