Just Us Girls #285 - Color Week

This week at Just Us Girls it's Color Week.  Nancy is our hostess and she has chosen black, white and one other color of your choice.  Isn't that fun!  Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.  Here is how I was inspired.


I started with a stamp set called Antique Map and embossed it with white embossing powder on black card stock.  The boat was stamped in black on white card stock and layered with my color choice, Blue Denim.  I made a little blue denim flag and embossed the sentiment in black.

    Oh WOW! I thought that was Designer Paper.....well done, my friend! I love this. That sweet little sailboat is darling!

    I agree with Donna, WOW!! I also thought it was designer paper. You can never go wrong with black & white. Now I'm thinkin' I need to get me some background stamps.

    Oh wow, this is just awesome with the white embossing on the black. So striking, you really nailed that color challenge. I love that blue with black. Such a stunning creation, my dear!

    Fabulous card Sharyn! I love the BG, and too bad it is no longer available. It is awesome here and love CAS sailboat on top of it. Very masculine card.

    The challenge looks like fun and your card is wonderful. I really like how you layered it, the colors you chose, and the embellishments really make all the other art show up beautifully!!

    I love that map background in the white on black, really pops! Great choice adding the blue, it is really striking.
