Sweet Treats for the kiddos

Here are some sweet treats I made for our grandchildren.

These were fun to make.  I used the Holiday Pin Ups set from PTI.  The dies I used were the Berry Wreath Tag and the Write Stuff Holder.  The Write Stuff Holder cuts the slits for the candy canes to slip through.  Hope they will be a hit with the kids.

Just Us Girls #340 - Photo Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Photo Week.  Bobby is our hostess and she has chosen a fun photo for our inspiration.

My inspiration came from the color pink, the sweet treats and the striped cloth.  I picked a new stamp set from PTI called Just Desserts for the yummy cake image.  This is such a fun set.  The background is a stamp set from MFT called Candy Stripes Background.

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Angie, have made this week.  I hope you will be inspired and come play along with us.

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our April challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of June.  Good luck!

Seize the Birthday - Sweet Treats!

This time at Seize the Birthday we have an optional topping of Sweet Treats!  Of course, it's always "Anything Goes" as long as it's for a birthday, if you aren't interested in the topping.

Here's my card

What better stamp set to use for a Sweet Treats challenge than a stamp set from Gina K. Designs called Sweet Tweets!  I love the cupcake image with this set.  I colored the cupcake with Copic markers and applied Wink of Stella to the icing.  The patterned paper is from a set called Hootenanny from My Mind's Eye.  I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black and embossed with GKD Fine Detail Black embossing powder on Vellum.

The Recipe:
GKD Sweet Tweets
PTI Think Big Favorites #12
MME Hootenanny patterned paper
Spellbinders Classic Circles, Scalloped Circles & A2 Scalloped Borders Two
GKD Tomato Soup buttons
Doodlebug Twine
GKD Fine Detail Black embossing powder
Wink of Stella

Please visit the Seize the Birthday blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team have made this time.  I hope you will be inspired to play along.  We would love to see what you create!
