Life is Good!

We recently returned from our family vacation in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. What a time we had!  It was so much fun watching our grandchildren enjoy the ocean.  I know the oldest had been to the ocean once before, but it was when he was too young to remember it.  The beach house we rented had it's own pool, so we spent a lot of time going from one to the other.

As we were driving down the road our house was on, I noticed that the beautiful hotels and condo buildings were all painted in soft pastel colors and I was truly inspired.  I kept thinking about my PTI City Scene stamp set and wondering how some of those buildings would look in pastels.  Here's what I came up with.

This shaker was so much fun to make!  The sand is some I brought back from the beach.  I love the pastel buildings.  They really do remind me of North Ocean Blvd.

The Recipe:
PTI City Scene
Lawn Fawn Life is Good - sentiment, palm tree & crab
Echo Park I Love Sunshine patterned paper
SSS Stitched Slopes & Hills
Impression Obsession Sand background stamp
Lil' Inkers Stitched Sentiment

We had some other excursions planned, but the boys were having so much fun in the water that we just let them play.  We made it to a couple of really cute miniature golf courses, where I was promptly beaten.  The kids took the boys on a dolphin watching boat that they all enjoyed.  They saw dolphins but they also saw other creatures too.  The captain put out nets and brought things up from the ocean and showed everyone what was out there.  It was fun and educational too.  Larry and I spent the day exploring the town and took a side trip to Pawley's Island.

Our son-in-law is very good at picking restaurants, and he had a list of ones he wanted to try.  We went to an excellent fish place called Mr. Fish.  I'm not a big fan of fish, so I got a chicken quesadilla that was out of this world.  The second place we tried was Italian and was called Ciao.  This place was fantastic!  I had the best lasagna ever!  Another place we ate at was Fuddruckers.  We used to have some of these in Indiana, but they closed up long ago.  We always loved to go there and was thrilled to see one in Myrtle Beach.

Lastly, I am posting some pictures.....hope you enjoy them.
