Seize the Birthday - Sketch

This time at Seize the Birthday our topping is a Sketch Challenge.  Of course, it's always "Anything Goes" if you aren't interested in the topping, as long as it's for a birthday.

I am using supplies from three different companies today.  I just love to mix and match.  lol  The plaid paper is from My Favorite Things, the sentiment is from Hero Arts and everything else is from Reverse Confetti.

Please visit the Seize the Birthday blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our Surprise Party Guest, Tanja, have made this time.  I hope you will be inspired and come play along.

Just Us Girls #308 Wild Card Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Wild Card Week.  Nancy is our hostess and she has chosen a sketch as her wild card.

We will be saying goodbye to our Guest Designer, Karen Bourke, at the end of this challenge.  I would like to thank her for sharing her wonderful talent with us.  We have enjoyed seeing her beautiful cards.

Here's my card

This was a quick and easy sketch to work with.  I made a card celebrating my last hoo-rah for summer.  I chose a set from Reverse Confetti featuring some fun pineapples.  Imagine the yummy tropical goodies that we could make!

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Karen, have made this week.  I hope you will be inspired and play along.

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our August challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of October.  Good luck!

Mojo Monday #396

It's been awhile since I've played the Mojo Monday Challenge, but this sketch inspired me.

Here's my card

I started with some fun coordinating patterned paper from BoBunny called Ambrosia.  I love the color palate.  The stamp set is from Verve and is called Blue Skies.  The sentiment is a favorite of mine.  I added some enamel dots and some Wink of Stella to the butterfly.  Thanks for coming by to look.

Seize the Birthday - Sketch

This time at Seize the Birthday our "Topping" is a Sketch.  Isn't that fun!  I always love a good sketch, it does half of the work for you.  Of course, if you aren't into sketches, it's always "Anything Goes" as long as it's for a birthday.

Here's my card

I thought I would make a more masculine feeling card, and give it to my son-in-law for his birthday! His birthday is actually on Valentine's Day, and hearts and flowers were just not going to work.  This sketch seemed like the perfect solution.  I picked some fun patterned paper from Doodlebug and paired it with a new stamp set from Gina K. Designs called Birthday Go Round, that fit perfectly with some of my circle dies.  I love the arrow die from Reverse Confetti, so used it to point the way to the sentiment.

Please visit the Seize the Birthday blog to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team have made this time.  I hope you will be inspired and want to play along with us.
