Saying goodbye to my doctor

This is a sad post for me because my doctor is retiring at the end of August.  We started going to him when I was around eleven years old.  So, in a span of 50 years he has seen me through births, deaths and a lot of life in-between.  He is really going to be missed!  When I was trying to figure out what kind of card to make for him, the first thing that came to mind was one of Theresa Momber's beautiful ocean scenes.  I loved this blue card the minute I saw it. The pier reminds me of several that we have walked to and on when we have gone to the beach.  This is a CASE of Theresa's beautiful card using her By the Sea 2 stamp set.  The "happy retirement" is from Rupa Shevde's Enjoy the Journey stamp set.  Both sets are available at Gina K. Designs.

The next two cards are for my doctor's nurses.  They will be equally missed.

The recipe
PTI Rosie Posie, Rosie Posie Step 2, Delightful Dahlia Additions
Lil'Inkers Stitched Circle dies
Recollections pearls
MME Tangerine patterned paper
Simple Stories Summer Fresh patterned paper

Thanks so much for coming by to look!

  1. Your Dr. Is going to love this beautiful card, Sharyn! Great job of casing 'The Master'! Love it, and the nurses cards, too. You are so sweet to think of them. Thanks for sharing!

  2. It's perfect! I love all three cards. :)

  3. Sharyn you did an amazing job at CASEIng Theresa's card! And I love the other two also they are all gorgeous! It's hard when someone you have known for a long time retires and it's no longer there, hope you will find a good doctor again! Have a Blessed day!

  4. Gorgeous cards love them all! The flower ones are so pretty! Sorry you have to find a new doctor too, that kind of stinks! BUT happy retirement to him! :)

  5. I love the ocean scene. it is so pretty in the blue. Your flower cards are lovely and I'm sure they will all appreciate them.

  6. I saw the first card on FB, and was blown away, but after looking at your blog, THUD.
Seriously, you made such marvelous cards and made then look different with papers and colors. I'm sure that the recipients will be so pleased. They may even keep them in a scrapbook. Hope you find a new doc, but it will not be the same. I have to do that last year. My new one is young and very nice, but not the same.

  7. WOW! Beautiful suite of cards! Amazing that you have had the same doc that long! Impressive! I am sure he will be missed!

  8. Pretty cards, love the ocean card.

  9. They are going to love these cards, they are awesome!
