Happy Retirement

My husband asked me to make two Happy Retirement
cards for former work friends who are retiring.

The first one is a CASE of a beautiful card that Melissa Phillips made.
I love it and think it makes a fabulous retirement card.
I used Feathered Friends 12, Border Bling Flowers and Some Like It Hot (flowers)
from Papertrey Ink.
I used BotaniCuts Palm from The Greetery and
Enjoy the Journey from Gina K. Designs.
The embellishments are from Trinity Stamps and called Bubble Blow Out.

On this card, I used the Little Pickup from Honey Bee Stamps.
The Cuttlebug Diamond Plate Embossing Folder,
the Stitched Arch Stax and Cloud stencil from My Favorite Things,
Country Roads from Gina K. Designs.

Thanks so much or stopping by.
Your kind comments are always appreciated.

I was in need of a card for
a young lady graduating from our local high school.
This is what I came up with.

The school colors are white, royal blue and orange.
The  cap looked plain, so I added a sprig of flowers
to dress it up a bit.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Your kind comments are always appreciated.

The Recipe.
The cap is from the PTI set called Graduate
The Congrats, Bold Numbers and Alpha Bud Bold Florals
are from The Greetery.
The tag is from a Gina K. Designs set called Tag Trio.

Fun day in my craft room.

Today was a crafting day for me
and I have had such a good time.
I was able to make two cards with some of the stamps
and dies from the new The Greetery collection.

I love the Flower Market Bouquet!
I stamped the first step on the flowers with ink,
but the second step I stamped with VersaMark
and embossed with red and pink embossing powder.
I as so happy with the way it turned out.

I am entering this card in the Seize The Birthday challenge.

The Holding Hands set is so sweet.
I used Fond of Foliage on the background.

I love old fashioned aprons!
The set is called Apron Strings

called Pigment.

This one was stamped with  Print Shop Fresh Floral
from The Greetery.

This one was stamped with Make It Market Herb Garden

After he past, it was my job to clean out
the house and get it ready to sell.
I moved the door in the kitchen and there hanging
on a hook was one of my grandmother's aprons.
This stamp set reminds me of her.

I found the one whom my soul loves.

We received about two inches of snow last night and now are waiting for the second wave to come through.  The Weather Service is talking about a total of eight to eleven inches of snow along with blowing and drifting.  It should be interesting.  Fingers crossed that we don't lose our power.

This card I love!

I was so excited to pull out the Boxwood dies
and the BotaniCuts Forget Me Nots die.
These are so beautiful and fun.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Please stay safe and warm.
It looks like this weather system is affecting a lot of us.

It's Your Birthday

 Good Morning!
I made this for my son-in-law.
I know my seasons are a little out of whack
but I wanted to play with some of the
new things I have neglected.

I love the masculine feel of this card,
that is something that I struggle with.
The wood slice, mushrooms and the oak leaves
work so well together, and
I was able to find a Cuttlebug folder in my stash
called Oak, that worked beautifully for the background.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Just Mason Around for the lovely layered jar, and

Think of You

This week Betsy showed us how to use our Distress Oxides in a new way.

We all know that Distress Oxides are wonderful for blended backgrounds, but
now we can sponge the color on our stamps and make beautiful colored flowers.
The flowers I'm using are from The Greetery and are called Fleur Impressions.
Aren't they gorgeous!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
