Bottle Brush Trees

I love bottle brush trees!
There is just something about them that
calls out for non-traditional colors.

My trees were stamped with GKD Bubblegum Pink and
Wild Wisteria and PTI Summer Sunrise.
The stamp set is PTI Joyful Christmas.
I used a stencil called Frosty Flakes
from The Greetery
and some GKD Aqua Mist ink
to create the background.
The snowflakes are from
The Greetery's Frosty Corners die.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Your kind comments are always appreciated.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
I hope you have a wonder holiday season!

Happy Hippie Reindeer Van

This is the cutest die set!
There are so many things you can do with it.
My first thought was reindeer antlers and a red nose.
Around the holidays, I see people do that with their cars and SUV's, so
I thought, "Why not a hippie van?"

Here is the back view.
I added a Merry Christmas and a heart.
The back panel raises up and there is space
to add some candy or a gift card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Two More Christmas Cards

This season is coming too quickly for me.
I am behind in just about everything.
I made these two cards a few weeks ago,
but didn't have time to post.

I'm loving these cute penguins!

Quick and easy with a little bit of masking.
Easy to mail too!

Make It Monday #344; Deck Your Dies

This week's Make It Monday was so much fun!
Melissa wanted us to Deck Your Dies.

I used Text and Texture Wood Slices and
some Soft Stone Bitty Big stripped paper for my background.
I die cut the Shape Shifters Oval 3 die in Weathervane
and silver embossed around the edges.
I die cut the beautiful Floral Fantasy Christmas tree in Soft Stone
and added three pink sequins.
The pink bow is from the Corner Adorner October set,
and the "Be Merry" is from the Bold Borders Yultide set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Christmas Cloches

I fell in love with the cloches when I saw some that Betsy Veldman had done.  These were fun to make and didn't take a whole lot of time to do.

The two with the houses were the most labor intensive.  They are both Petite Places.  One is Holiday Lane and the other is Home and Garden.  All of the others are from the Make-It-Market Wonderland kit.

More Gift Card and Money Holders

Aren't these a cute way to give a gift card or money?

Everything I've used here is from the PTI All Through The House Make it Market Kit.  This has been such a fun one to play with and has come in handy, since I am buying gift cards and giving cash this Christmas.

Thanks for coming by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

Tis the Season - Making Christmas Cards

It's that time again!  I always say I'm going to start Christmas cards early and every year I find myself in the same place.  It's November and I haven't even started.  The inspiration for this card came from Silke Ledlow.  You will have to scroll down her page to "Inspired by the Little Things #31 challenge" to see her gorgeous card.

I didn't want to copy everything piece by piece, so changed the colors and used a fun set by Claire Brennan called Festive Foliage instead of the poinsettias.  I mass produced this one and made 20 cards.  It was quite an undertaking since the Festive Foliage set doesn't come with dies.  I ended up with 140 pieces that had to be fussy cut.  I'm very pleased with the outcome.  If  I could change anything, I might gold emboss the music instead of the ink I used.  What do you think?

Thanks so much for coming by to look.

The Challenge #52 - Make a Christmas Card

This time at The Challenge we were asked to Make a Christmas Card.  Well, that was easy enough.....tis the season!  Here's one I made for my daughter, son-in-law and three grandsons.

I think these elves are the cutest thing ever!  My card is a little larger than I usually make (6x6), but I needed the room to accommodate these three little cuties.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!

The Cat's Pajamas #301 Anything Goes

I had to join in when I found out the challenge was Anything Goes at The Cat's Pajamas.  I've had this sweet bunny stamp for a while and not used it, so today was the day to get it inky.

TCPTUES301

Isn't this the sweetest little bunny all tangled up in Christmas lights?  He makes me smile!  I think my grandkids will get a kick out of him.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!

The Mod Squad - Tag Time

I woke up this morning to ice and snow......Brrrr!  It put me in a mood to stay inside where it is warm and craft.  The Mod Squad challenge this week is called Tag Time.  I pulled out my new StampTV kit and some other favorites to create four tags.

I don't do many tags and I really don't know why, because I had a lot of fun making these.  lol  This may be my new favorite thing to do.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!

Merry Monday #125 - Transportation

This time at Merry Monday the challenge is to make a Christmas card using transportation.  I have missed playing at this challenge site.  Life has really been messing with me lately!  I am hopeful that things will be settling down, so I can play on a regular basis again.  Anyway, here's my card.

When I saw "transportation", I knew I had to use one of my favorite sets from PTI.  The City Scene and the City Scene Christmas Sentiments sets are so much fun to play with.  I have two modes of transportation on this card, the taxi cab and Santa's sleigh.  I tried something different this time and made two rows of buildings.  It adds extra interest to the scene.  I, also, added some Liquid Applique to the tops of the buildings and trees.  Thanks so much for stopping by to look!
