Glorious Fall

The beautiful stamps and dies I used on these cards
are from The Greetery's August release.

I have been making bits and pieces
from these sets for a few days.
Today I was able to put some cards together.

I used Budding Beauties Autumn,
Autumn Sketches,
Bottled Up,
and Sentiment Suite Birthday.

On this card I used Knit Wits stencil,
and Bountiful Wreath.

And finally, on this card I used
Knit Wits stencil,
Cotton Comforts, and
Halfsies Diamond die.

Christmas Candles

I was excited to get these sweet candles from Reverse Confetti!
I didn't have any candles in my collection and these are super cute.

I stamped the candles with Kraft ink and colored the area that looked like melted wax with a Versa Marker and embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I sprinkled some Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Enamel and heated.  It left some wonderful texture and some gold flecks.  I added a very delicate Confetti Cuts Wreath and a Hoppin Dots Quick Card Panel.

Peace on Earth

Today I'm playing with Gina K. Designs stamps.  I wanted to make a snowflake wreath after I saw the new Holiday Wreath Builder set, but mine has not arrived yet, so I had to improvise.

The snowflakes on this card are from Melanie's Triple Play Frame set and they worked beautifully.  The cute little snowman and the sentiment is from her Holiday Frame set.  If you have any of her frame sets, there are some wonderful little images that work well with the wreath builder.  It's hard to see on the photo but I stamped the background paper with Gina's beautiful new Petite Flourish background stamp and Versamark ink and then embossed with Ranger Bridal Tinsel EP.  I've never used this embossing powder before.  It dries clear with lots of sparkle.

Here are some more wreaths that I have been working on in the wee hours of the morning. (Still having insomnia problems.)  I'll tell you more about them when I make a card with them.

PTI April 2018 Blog Hop Inspiration

The Papertrey Ink April 2018 Blog Hop Inspiration Challenge has a wonderful photo to inspire us.  Take a look!

Of all the stamps that I own, I don't have one set with tea cups.  So, my inspiration is coming through color.  Here's my card.

I used the Center Stage Cover Plate die and made a stencil and sponged Aqua Mist ink on a piece of white card stock..  I layered it on a piece of foiled gold paper to look like the trim on the tea cups.  I created a wreath to showcase the pretty little pink and yellow flowers and green leaves.  I layered this on a piece of gold foil paper too.  I added a bright pink ribbon and bow, the Hello sentiment and three aqua enamel dots.

Thinking of You

Another day of gray, gloomy skies and rain, rain, rain.  We have a small lake in our backyard.  So, I shut myself up in my craft room and played.  Here's what I made:

I love country looking wreaths.  I tried to make one here.  I'm happy with the way it came out..  Add to that some gingham, polka dots and hearts and I'm in heaven.  Spring Moss is definitely one of my favorite colors!

PTI Bitty Big Spring Moss, Chicken Scratch Gingham

Hippity, hop, hop, hop

The new PTI Bunny Blessings set is super cute!
I decided to make a wreath with it.
Here it is:

The greenery that I started the wreath with is from the Autumn Pumpkins set, everything else is from the Bunny Blessings set.  This set contains a sweet bunny, a couple of small flowers and leaves, the eggs and a butterfly.  Everything is a two step process and adds lots of details.  The background is called Background Basics Tin Types and I opted to go with a paper bow to make it easier to mail.

PTI Anniversary Challenge - Stripes

Today's challenge at the PTI Anniversary Celebration is Stripes.

I used the beautiful Twig Wreath set along with Autumn Pumpkins.  I love the "happy" look the Hawaiian Shores stripes give this card.

Autumn Pumpkins is one of the sets on the Retirement List this year.  I had to snap it up quickly before it was gone.

Make It Monday #300 Build a Wreath

I am playing along with the Make It Monday Challenge Build a Wreath today. I loved Melissa's video and her gorgeous examples.  Here is my card.

I didn't have the gorgeous wreath Melissa used, but I am going to buy it as soon as it's back in stock.  I did, however, have the gorgeous set called Sprig Wreath.  First, I started with the background.  I used a lattice stencil from the Garden Gate kit and sponged with Spring Rain ink.  I stamped the wreath pieces using the rock and roll method and New Leaf and Pinefeather inks.  I added some leaves from the Spruce & Sprigs set and some smaller greenery and pinecones from the Sprig Wreath set.  To top it off, I added a Cardinal from the Winter Woods set.

Day 3 Holiday Card Workshop 2014

Today the Holiday Card Workshop was all about watercolor.  This is something that I struggle with, but I keep trying.  Dawn made it look so easy!

Here's my card

My background leaves a lot to be desired.  I worked with it for quite a while and couldn't get it to look any better.  The wreath, I am very happy with.  I used Avery Elle's Winter Wreath.  I love this wreath, but I always make it fuller.  I stamped it twice with Fresh Asparagus ink rotating it 180 degrees each time.  I took a paint brush will a little water and softened the ink.  After it dried, I stamped it twice again with Pear Tart ink starting on the side and rotating it 180 degrees for the second stamping.  I softened that color with water and a brush too.  I removed some of the ink to add the red balls.  I stamped some pinecones, evergreen sprigs and added some swipes with a white gel pen and a Rich Cocoa marker.  The sentiment is a die from Simon Says Stamps called Merry Christmas.  The gold ribbon is Wrights Wired Icicle Ribbon.  Thanks so much for coming by to look!
