Just Us Girls #291 - Word Week

This week at Just Us Girls it's Word Week.  Cheryl is our hostess and the word she has chosen is Twine.  I would, also, like to welcome Tenia Nelson as our Guest Designer for the month of May. Welcome, Tenia!  Be sure to stop by her blog and leave her some love.

I chose this pretty peach image from Flourishes and decided to make a thank you card. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey.  This particular pack has some really beautiful papers in it.  I used some fun dies and added twine in two colors.

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Tenia Nelson, have made this week.  I hope you will be inspired and come play along with us.

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our May challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of July.  Good luck!

Recipe:
Flourishes Cherries & Peaches (sadly this company is no longer in business)
Basic Grey Picadilly patterned paper
MFT Notched Border
Lil' Inkers Stitched Circles
GKD Grass Green & Powder Blue twine

  1. Love the coloring on those peaches! For some reason the peaches paired with that patterned paper reminds me of a country fair. I love it!

  8. Very pretty soft card. The technique that you used on the image is perfect with the patterned paper. Is this like Donna said, pointillism? Not easy to do and have it look like this. You are a shinning creative star!
