Seize the Birthday - Pocket Card

This time at Seize the Birthday our topping is "Pocket Card".  Of course, it's always "Anything Goes" if you aren't interested in the topping, as long as it's for a birthday.

Anita from France will be playing along with us again week as our Surprise Party Guest.  Be sure to stop by her blog and leave her some love.

I think I have only made one pocket card before, so this took some thought.  Here is what I came up with.

I pulled out a set from Flourishes called Under the Big Top and paired it with a set from The Cat's Pajamas called Admit One.  I love this big ticket and thought it would be the perfect choice to go in my pocket.  Besides, you need a ticket to get into the circus, right?

Please visit the Seize the Birthday blog to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team have made.  I hope you will be inspired and want to come play along.

The Recipe:
Flourishes Under the Big Top
TCP Admit One
RC Double Banner Garland
MFT Plaid Patterns patterned paper
Lil' Inkers Stitched Sentiments
Spellbinders Standard Rectangles
MME enamel dots

  1. LOVE these sets, they pair so nicely. Yes, that big ticket is just perfect for your pocket. I also LOVE that plaid Designer Paper!!! Pass the peanuts! ;)

  2. This is so cute Sharyn. I love everything about it, especially how the pocket opening is going to the side.

  3. Oh, how adorable!!! You are so good at putting those wonderful colors together, you really have an eye!!! Those images are wonderful, and I LOVE how you made that clown juggling by using enamel dots. This is just a great, great card - and super take on the challenge!!!

  4. Wow! Your pattern paper and all the other papers match so well! I love the theme and the BIG tickets! What a great pocket card!

  5. Absolutely gorgeous!!! Love the layout and the fab papers :-)

  6. Wonderfully titis tracked card! Happy colors and then the pocket for the ticket to get into the circus, is so amazing. It may have taken you some thought, but it was very clever.

  7. What a fantastic and fun big top scene, Sharyn ... fabulous colours and so celebratory with that wonderful ticket! Thanks so much for your lovely welcome to STB ... and for your shout out! Anita :)

  8. This is really a clever idea to make your pocket a ticket stub! Love this stamp set, each time you use it my friend!

  9. How cute. Love the paper and the theme. You really nailed the circus theme. The banner and clown with the elephant is inspired. Then adding the ticket was perfect.

  10. This card is adorable and I love that little pull out ticket! So clever :)
