Make It Monday #321 Ink Blending on Colored Card Stock

I've had a lot of fun with this week's Make It Monday.  Melissa introduced us to Blending on Colored Card Stock.

I stayed pretty much with Melissa's design, but with some color changes and change in the size of  the layers.

Thanks so much for coming by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

PTI April 2018 Blog Hop Inspiration

The Papertrey Ink April 2018 Blog Hop Inspiration Challenge has a wonderful photo to inspire us.  Take a look!

Of all the stamps that I own, I don't have one set with tea cups.  So, my inspiration is coming through color.  Here's my card.

I used the Center Stage Cover Plate die and made a stencil and sponged Aqua Mist ink on a piece of white card stock..  I layered it on a piece of foiled gold paper to look like the trim on the tea cups.  I created a wreath to showcase the pretty little pink and yellow flowers and green leaves.  I layered this on a piece of gold foil paper too.  I added a bright pink ribbon and bow, the Hello sentiment and three aqua enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

Hello

I've been playing with the PTI stamp set Farmer's Market Florals.  This is a new color combo for me.  What do you think?

The green on this card is Spring Moss and I'm loving it.  The flowers were stamped with Melon Berry and Canyon Clay.  There was some second generation stamping involved.  On all of the flowers, I stamped the first layer with Melon Berry that had been stamped off, then the next layer was Melon Berry at full color.  The final layer was Canyon Clay that had been stamped off.  I was very surprised at how lovely the colors worked together.

Thanks so much for stopping by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

PTI Anniversary Challenge - Stripes

Today's challenge at the PTI Anniversary Celebration is Stripes.

I used the beautiful Twig Wreath set along with Autumn Pumpkins.  I love the "happy" look the Hawaiian Shores stripes give this card.

Autumn Pumpkins is one of the sets on the Retirement List this year.  I had to snap it up quickly before it was gone.

Thank so much for coming by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

PTI 11th Anniversary Floral Challenge

Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 11th Anniversary.  The challenge I am entering today is a floral challenge.  We are to pick our favorite floral stamp set and use it to make a card.

It was very hard to pick one floral stamp set, because I love all of them.  This gorgeous tulip set would have to be at the very top of my list.  I adore it!  The three step stamping on this set makes it so beautiful!  The set is called Tulip Time.

I thought the shades of yellow in the tulip looked very springy against the lovely Aqua Mist colored card stock.  I used the Mix and Mat Hearts set, that is very quickly becoming another of my favorites.  The striped paper is one of the Bitty Big Aqua Mist patterned papers.

Thanks so much for coming by to look.  Your kind comments are always appreciated.

Just Us Girls #340 - Photo Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Photo Week.  Bobby is our hostess and she has chosen a fun photo for our inspiration.

My inspiration came from the color pink, the sweet treats and the striped cloth.  I picked a new stamp set from PTI called Just Desserts for the yummy cake image.  This is such a fun set.  The background is a stamp set from MFT called Candy Stripes Background.

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Angie, have made this week.  I hope you will be inspired and come play along with us.

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our April challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of June.  Good luck!

Just Us Girls #312 - Photo Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Photo Week.  Vicki is our hostess and she has chosen a beautiful photo as our inspiration.

We will be saying goodbye to our Guest Designer, Melissa Lane, at the completion of this challenge.  I would like to thank her for sharing her wonderful talent with us.  We have enjoyed seeing her beautiful cards.

Here's my card

What a great photo and aren't the colors striking!  I used a background stamp from MFT to create the striped background.  I thought it would be a perfect backdrop for some lovely yellow flowers.  I pulled out a favorite set of mine from PTI called Delightful Dahlia.  After I finished stamping, the ink colors I chose were a little on the light side, so I added some shading with a copic marker.  The sentiment was embossed in black on a strip of Vellum.

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Melissa, have created this week.  I hope you will be inspired and play along.

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our September challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of November.  Good luck!
