I posted two views because I wanted you to see the sparkle! I never was sure how to add glitter and get it to stay on the paper. A friend of mine, thank you Donna, sent me a video of a tutorial for Stampin' Up Heat and Stick. I didn't have Heat and Stick but thought it must be very similar to Tim Holtz Sticky Embossing Powder. I cut out the hole for the window and then stamped VersaMark all over the surface of some white card stock. I applied the Sticky Embossing Powder and heat set it. This stuff stays sticky for a while, so I sprinkled Gina K. Design Prismatic Glitter in Frozen all over the surface and heat set it. This panel is amazing! If you have never tried the Prismatic Glitter from GKD, I urge you to give it a try. You will love it! The stamp set I used was illustrated by Theresa Momber and is available at Gina K. Designs. I love the Cardinal image! This is the most majestic of birds. I'm a little partial because it is the state bird of Indiana. We have a huge Blue Spruce tree in our yard and it houses many Cardinals. They are so gorgeous against a snowy background.
Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful sparkly cards the rest of the team have made this week. I can't wait to see your sparkle!
If you win Chic of the Week in any of our December challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of February. Good luck!
