We have two Guest Designers with us this month. I'd like to welcome Deepti Malik and Vicki Parsons. Please visit their blogs and leave them some love.
I played around with a fun technique called the Marble Technique for my background. I used the clear plastic case from one of my Gina K. Designs Stamp TV kits. This works great because you can see through it and it has a lid. I attached a piece of white card stock with some re-positional tape to the bottom and dropped different colors of reinker around the paper. Now the technique calls for marbles, but you can use other things. In my case, I didn't have any marbles, but my husband has a gumball machine. I have raided his gumball machine before for this technique and it works quite well. So, I put my gumballs in the container, closed the lid and began to shake it until I was satisfied with the look. I used some dies from Reverse Confetti to finish it off and added some Doodlebug Sprinkles.
Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our Guest Designers, Deepti and Vicki, have made this week. I hope you will be inspired and play along.
If you win Chic of the Week in any of our January challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of March. Good luck!
