Just Us Girls #344 - Color Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Color Week.  Sue is our hostess and she has chosen a beautiful color combo for our inspiration.  I can't wait to see what you do with Ivory, Plum and Olive.

This one was a little tricky because I didn't have plum or olive ink or papers, so I did the best I could. I used purple in a light and dark shade - MFT Wild Wisteria & Lavender Fields.  The green is GKD Fresh Asparagus.  The pretty little flowers and the patterned paper is from MFT.

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Aileen, have made this week.  I hope you will be inspired and come play along.

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our May challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of July.  Good luck!

The Recipe:
MFT Beautiful Blooms
MFT Stitched Arch Stax
Lil' Inkers Stitched Scallop Border, Stitched Rectangles
MFT County Fair Plaid patterned paper
MFT Wild Wisteria & Lavender Fields ink
GKD Fresh Asparagus ink
Iridescent purple gems from my stash

Just Us Girls #339 - Color Week

This time at Just Us Girls it's Color Week.  Judy is our hostess and she has chosen a beautiful combination of colors for our inspiration.  I can't wait to see what you do with lavender, peach and ivory.

This one took some thought.  I wanted to make a flower arrangement, but knew I couldn't use green leaves, so decided to make very colorful leaves.  lol  I love how this came out with the pretty die set from MFT.

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team and our GD, Angie, have made this week.  I hope you will be inspired and play along.

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our April challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of June.  Good luck!

The Recipe:
MFT Layered Leaves
Power Poppy Olive & Oak Expanded - sentiment
Buttons from stash
GKD Ivory, Peach Bellini & Lovely Lavender

Just Us Girls #259 - Color Week

This week at Just Us Girls it's Color Week and Nancy has chosen a beautiful combo for us to work with.  The colors are warm pink, light pink & ivory.  I had lots of crafting time today.  We had some plumbing problems that resulted in us needing a new sewer line.  My craft room faces the front of the house, so I had a clear view of the front yard and could watch all of the action.  As I'm sitting there crafting my little heart out to get a head in a couple of challenges, I see a spray of water coming out of the huge hole in the ground.......yep, they punctured the water line.  Guess we are getting a new water line too.  lol  I just had to laugh.  What else can go wrong?  Anyway, here's my card.

I used the Pretty Patterns stamp set from Gina K. Designs to make the background, along with Memento Angel Pink & GKD Bubblegum inks.  The card base is GKD Ivory card stock.  I made a little tag that I sponged with Angel Pink ink and decorated with a little heart border.  I added a pink ribbon, button and a couple of crimped hearts.

Recipe:
GKD Pretty Patterns, Signs of Spring & Spoon Me stamp sets
Reverse Confetti, Tag Me & Love Note dies
GKD Mixed Berry button
MME Enamel dots
Offray Pink ribbon
GKD Bubblegum & Ivory CS
GKD Black Onyx & Bubblegum ink
Memento Angel Pink ink

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team and out GD, Barbara Hagen, have made this week using this beautiful color combo.  I hope you will be inspired and want to play along.  We would love to see what you create!

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our September challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of November.  Good luck!
