I have been making bits and pieces
from these sets for a few days.
Today I was able to put some cards together.

I used Budding Beauties Autumn,
Autumn Sketches,
Bottled Up,
and Sentiment Suite Birthday.

On this card I used Knit Wits stencil,
and Bountiful Wreath.

And finally, on this card I used
Knit Wits stencil,
Cotton Comforts, and
Halfsies Diamond die.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Your kind comments are always appreciated.

MME Hootenanny patterned paper
Verve ribbon
Spellbinders Standard Circles & Lacy Circles
MME enamel dots

Just Us Girls #259 - Color Week

This week at Just Us Girls it's Color Week and Nancy has chosen a beautiful combo for us to work with.  The colors are warm pink, light pink & ivory.  I had lots of crafting time today.  We had some plumbing problems that resulted in us needing a new sewer line.  My craft room faces the front of the house, so I had a clear view of the front yard and could watch all of the action.  As I'm sitting there crafting my little heart out to get a head in a couple of challenges, I see a spray of water coming out of the huge hole in the ground.......yep, they punctured the water line.  Guess we are getting a new water line too.  lol  I just had to laugh.  What else can go wrong?  Anyway, here's my card.

I used the Pretty Patterns stamp set from Gina K. Designs to make the background, along with Memento Angel Pink & GKD Bubblegum inks.  The card base is GKD Ivory card stock.  I made a little tag that I sponged with Angel Pink ink and decorated with a little heart border.  I added a pink ribbon, button and a couple of crimped hearts.

Recipe:
GKD Pretty Patterns, Signs of Spring & Spoon Me stamp sets
Reverse Confetti, Tag Me & Love Note dies
GKD Mixed Berry button
MME Enamel dots
Offray Pink ribbon
GKD Bubblegum & Ivory CS
GKD Black Onyx & Bubblegum ink
Memento Angel Pink ink

Please visit the Just Us Girls blog to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team and out GD, Barbara Hagen, have made this week using this beautiful color combo.  I hope you will be inspired and want to play along.  We would love to see what you create!

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our September challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of November.  Good luck!

Welcome to day two of our Inspiration Blog Hop!  I hope you enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful cards yesterday.  Are you ready for some more?  I'm at the end of the links, so if you are just joining, you might want to start at the beginning so you don't miss out on anything.  Here we go:

First up is Theresa Momber's Vertical Greetings 2

I used Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Scalloped Ovals as a base for these beautiful flowers from Theresa's Vertical Greetings 2 set.  The embossing folder I used for the background is from Cuttlebug and is called Gingham. I used Copic markers B00, B21, B34, YG95 to color the flowers.  The card stock is Pure Luxury White, Powder Blue and Navy.  I added a GKD navy and white gingham ribbon.

I know you've probably never seen a pink bird, but it kind of fit the color scheme.  lol   Lee this one's for you!  I stamped the flowers on patterned paper from the Hello Sunshine paper pack.  I used Spellbinders Long Rectangles Large and Long Scalloped Rectangles Large for the focal image.  I cut out some extra flowers to pop-up with 1/4" pop dots.  I used Copic markers E35, E40, E43, G24, G40, NO, R01, R12, R83, RV000, RV52, V20, V25, Y21 to color the bird and flowers.

The focal image was stamped on Pure Luxury White CS that was cut with a Spellbinders Square die and backed with a piece of Black Onyx CS that was cut with a Spellbinders Captivating Squares die.  The background paper is from the Ang & Me patterned paper pack.  I added some GKD black and white gingham ribbon and some MME enamel dots.  The flowers and leaves were colored with Copic markers Y18, YR12, R17, YG95, YG97.

I stamped the focal image on Pure Luxury White CS and cut with a Spellbinders Classic Ovals die.  I used a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals die for the Fresh Asparagus piece.  I stamped my own background using the fern stamp from the Vertical Greetings 2 set.  I used Copic markers E35, E43, E57, R12, Y18, Y21, YG95, and added a Fresh Asparagus double stitched ribbon.

Next up is Beth Silaika's Keep Calm

I used the fun sentiment Keep Calm and Love Life from the Keep Calm set and stamped it on Bubblegum Pink hearts that had been cut with a Spellbinders Classic Hearts die.  I cut a black layer using Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Hearts.  I made the background using white card stock and a Simon Says Falling Heart stencil and Bubblegum ink.  I cut some Bubblegum hearts using  a small Classic Heart die.  A pretty ribbon & bow was added and some Recollections pink gems.

This is a fun one with lots of color.  I used Lots of Dots and several colors of GKD ink to make the background.  I used Spellbinders Standard Circles and Scalloped Circles to cut the white and turquoise sea circles and stamped the sentiment and stars.  I colored the stars with Copic marker Y21.  The twine is from Doodlebug.

I made the background with Recollections Purple Foil Paper and a Cuttlebug Love Triangle embossing folder.  The picture looks blue to me, but it really is a very regal purple.  I  used white card and a Spellbinders Picot Edge Circle die as a base for the focal image.  I sponged it with Sweet Corn and Wild Lilac inks and embossed the crown stamp using Zing! Gold Glitter Finish EP.  I made a base for the sentiment using White and Wild Lilac card stock and Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Scalloped Ovals dies.  I sponged the oval with Sweet Corn ink and embossed the sentiment with Zing! Gold Glitter Finish EP.  I, also, embossed the edges of a piece of white card stock to back the purple foil layer.  A thin gold ribbon was woven in the die cut.

I made the background by using the new cupcake stamp from the Keep Calm set and stamping on white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring with Copic markers B21, G40, R01, Y21, R83, V22 and Wink of Stella.  I made an extra cupcake to pop-up with the sentiment.  I punched three sections of lace using the Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch and White, Passionate Pink and Powder Blue card stock.  I used the PTI Notched Star Banner, Passionate Pink card stock and a Fiskars Crimper to make the banner.  I used the Spellbinders Beaded Circles dies for the sentiment and extra cupcake.  The edges of both pieces were sponged with Passionate Pink ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by to look at my cards.  I hope that you have been inspired by all of the wonderful cards you have seen the last two days.  Thanks so much for hopping with us!  The links below will take you back to any of the blogs you would like to revisit.  Remember to leave a comment on each of the blogs because random comments will be chosen to receive a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products!

Happy Stamping,
Sharyn
